“Today’s announcement of lower Medicare Advantage and prescription drug premiums is welcome news for seniors. But lower premiums next year should be the start, not the finish.
Congress and the administration should build on this progress by reforming Medicare Part D and stabilizing the broader health care market. The Affordable Care Act has failed to make coverage affordable for too many Americans; rising costs and limited competition continue to strain families, employers, and taxpayers.
We need lasting reforms that lower costs, strengthen competition, and give Americans more choices.”
