The Council for Affordable Health Coverage is deeply saddened by the loss of our Advisory Board member, Grace-Marie Turner.
Grace-Marie had a special drive to make health care work better for everyone. Like all great communicators, she could move an entire room with her words and many hearts with her writing.
She was a driving force on Capitol Hill, helping to pass the creation of the first tax credit so individuals could better afford health coverage, the creation of a competitive drug benefit in Medicare, which now helps 68 million fellow Americans, and the creation of Health Savings Accounts – another 67 million Americans helped.
All told, Grace-Marie has helped hundreds of millions of people.
Her spirit, leadership, and thoughtfulness have had and will continue to have an impact on CAHC and our mission.
Our deepest condolences go out to Grace-Marie’s family and friends.
