CAHC provided comments to Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and the Senate HELP Committee on the 340B Drug Pricing Integrity and Affordability for Patients Act discussion draft.
CAHC’s comments focused on:
- Limiting incentives for consolidation that drives up costs
- Ensuring covered entities pass through drug price discounts to patients
- Ending duplicate discounts and duplicate reimbursement for the same drug
- Rebuilding trust through accountability and transparency in the program
Overall, CAHC supports reform that refocuses the out-of-control 340B program on vulnerable patients, brings transparency and accountability to how the program operates, and lowers costs for patients, employers, families, and taxpayers.
