CAHC joined more than 40 organizations urging Congress to eliminate the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). The coalition highlighted that CMMI was created under the Affordable Care Act with a $10 billion budget every decade to test limited payment models that would reduce costs and improve care. Instead, the program lost $5.4 billion between 2011 and 2020 and is projected to lose an additional $1.3 billion by 2030.
