Inside Health Policy highlighted CAHC’s testimony before House Education & the Workforce Committee in an article about bills that would help lower health care costs for small businesses by offering more flexibility to create association health plans.
According to Joel White, president of the Council for American Health Care, who testified at the hearing, level-funded plans allow small businesses to pay a fixed price that covers claims, plan administration and stop-loss coverage, thus allowing the firms to reduce their risk and take advantage of self-funded arrangements.
