CHARLYN A. IOVINO

Charlyn A. Iovino is Vice President and Counsel in the Aetna Washington Office.  Charlie is responsible for group insurance issues, e.commerce

and the internet, all corporate issues including taxation and genetic testing.

Ms. Iovino was appointed by President Reagan to the Department of Education in 1982, where she worked in the Office of Civil Rights and later in

the Office of Legislation and Public Affairs.

After graduation from law school, she was an associate attorney at Morgan, Lewis and Bockius.  From 1984 to 1991 she practiced insurance, tax

and employee benefits law at Sutherland, Asbill and Brennan. 

She joined Mobil Corporation in 1991, as an employee benefits lawyer, and later became part of the elite Strategic Planning Group, where she was

the public policy advisor to the Chairman of the Board.  She joined Aetna in April 2001.

Ms. Iovino earned her B.B.A. from the College of William and Mary in 1976, and is a graduate of the Catholic University School of Law.  She is

admitted to the District of Columbia Bar.
